Idle Potato Game is a 2D incremental simulator on Roblox by Smooth Brain Games. You start with a single potato plant, click to harvest, sell on a real-time market with fluctuating prices, and reinvest into upgrades and automated generators. The game launched February 2026 and already has 591K+ visits with ~1,600 concurrent players. It's deeper than it looks. The core loop: click potatoes → sell on the market → buy upgrades (Toughen Hands → Padded Gloves → Steel Trowel → Golden Trowel → Farmer's Instinct → Premium Trowels) → buy generators for passive income → prestige at $2M for permanent multipliers → repeat faster. Market prices refresh every ~30 seconds — regular potatoes swing between $0.44 and $2.60+, Golden Potatoes between $28 and $280+. Timing your sells is the single biggest skill in this game.

Generators fill limited slots (~10 total). From weakest to strongest: Potato Seedling → Potato Garden → Potato Farm → Greenhouse ($35K) → Processing Plant. Smart players delete low-tier generators and fill every slot with Greenhouses or better. The prestige system unlocks at 500K potatoes and costs $2M cash. You lose all upgrades and generators but gain a permanent multiplier. After 10 prestiges you unlock Ascension, a second prestige layer with even bigger multipliers.

Collectible potatoes add permanent passive bonuses when equipped. Known types: Mechanical Potato (Epic, 40% auto clicker speed + 8% auto clicker), Diamond Potato, Crystal Potato (2% golden conversion), Purple Majesty (12% collectible drop rate), Mystery Potato (from Mystery Boxes), plus Blue and Pink Potatoes from codes. Players can trade rare potatoes with others on the same server. The daily login system rewards an Eternal Potato on Day 30.

Potato prices fluctuate in real time. This is the key mechanic that most players overlook — selling at the right moment can double or triple your income.

Regular Potatoes: $0.44 – $2.60+ per potato. Sell above $2.

Golden Potatoes: $28 – $280+ per potato. Sell above $150.

Generators auto-produce potatoes. ~10 slots total. Delete low-tier ones and replace with better generators as you progress.

Prestige unlock: 500,000 potatoes (panel visible) + $2,000,000 cash (to execute).

What resets: All upgrades and generators. Codes rewards and colored potatoes are kept.

What you gain: Permanent multiplier that applies to all future runs. Choose a bonus direction (Generator Bonus, click multiplier, etc.).

Second prestige: Also costs $2M, but you reach it faster thanks to the multiplier from your first prestige.

Ascension: Unlocks after 10 prestiges. A second layer of prestige with even bigger permanent multipliers. This is the endgame progression system.
